He he ... ROFL! :D

As far as presentations go, I guess this one has been one of the funniest. :D Okay, so here's the story. We were supposed to form groups of four and give a presentation about any one topic related to Enterprise Java Beans. In fact, right now another presentation is going on and we are secretly trying to take pics of Avishek and Debajit (who look very funny together standing in a corner since they are wearing similar shirts, tags and expressions). :P Ahh... Theirs was declared the best PPS just now. Anyway, a lot of things happened during our turn. First of all, we did not know what to talk about and that was freaking us out, since the two groups before us has spoken at length about their topics. Zaved said he would simply read out stuff written in the slides, Kuntal suggested "If you can't convince them, confuse them" (wahao *sarcastic*) and Soumalya was busy deleting the last slide which said "Any questions?" (threatening enough to us). Me? I was nervous about being nervous. :-/ Soumalya was the one who was the first to speak. What he did in addition to that was--- a) get nervous and b) mispronounce my surname as "Koyla" (I wanted to kick him). Jeez! Then, Zaved did read out the slides, and read them fast. Then me. I, thankfully, didn't get that nervous and finished my part. The last presentation is on right now and I dunno why but all the three members seem to be concentrating on controlling their laughter. :D
God knows what all madness we will do in the remaining few days... ;)

Arrgghh!

Well... Boring day I tell you. Rather, lame.
First of all, pathetic exam. We all realized (at least I did) that we spent too much time on XML than the more important stuff like JSP. Probably, it was because of the fact that the XML stuff was relatively new to us and we wanted to pay more attention to it. Then we realized that we will have the second exam after puja and not before it. This news came half an hour too late. Had we known earlier we could have practiced today as well. Talk about insult upon injury. Hmph!
Wow. Presentation tomorrow. Jeez! -___-'' That's exactly what we need right now. Plus, this place is driving me nuts. Training. Pooh! The only thing that's keeping me sane is the पराठा-सब्जी at the single-good-enough-corner-shop. I wonder when this will end. >.<
I'll post again if I'm sane enough to write. Adios!

Tired of E X A M S !

Exams, exams and more ... exams! :'( Has anybody died of exam-overload? I might just be the first person to suffer that fate. Jokes apart, I have gotten sick of PL/SQL. Its really THE thing when it comes to DBMS and all but why didn't the language developers bother being a bit more relevant about errors! The errors and exceptions have seriously made my life difficult. :'(
Two hours of return journey doesn't leave much space for programming practice and revision. So basically I don't have any idea how am I supposed to code with my head straight tomorrow. About time I start having the saag they recommend for a better memory (Brahmi saag I guess) before I start asking questions like those in purana Orient PSPO ads. Only, I'll probably ask "Ye PL/SQL kya hota hai?"

Busy Life

It's been ages since I last posted. I guess this is what happens when people get a new job. All I can say is: Phew! ^__^'' The only thing I can be thankful about is that I am not in Infosys. I have heard their training is tougher than ours. I leave home at 7.15 AM and get back at 9 PM on an average day. Mostly its the fault of the lousy Kolkata traffic scenario since the same bus following the same route takes 45 minutes in the morning compared to 2 hours in the evening, or more. That's the reason I like taking the buses earlier than 8:30 AM.
On top of all this, last night Facebook annoyed the hell out of me (though nowadays I don't get to see much of it except for an hour at night and on weekends). I don't understand why would people take something simple and twist it into something so annoyingly complicated all in the name of a new interface? Those damned smart lists! Arrgghh! I couldn't delete them, neither could I disable/hide them and while checking which friend is included in which list in "Edit Friends" section they keep coming at the top so that I have to scroll down every time I want to see my own custom lists! >.< Hmph! At least G+ allows me to delete their preset circles. And people are not already added to the preset circles without me doing it explicitly.
The smart-list-mayhem ended with me deactivating my account on Facebook and taking to G+. And checking my blog again. And thinking I should be making more effort to write about things. It's so easy to make me feel guilty, jeez! I have sat on the general seats in the public buses only twice (in I think the last 5 years) even when the ladies seats were empty and both times have felt like disappearing from everyone's sight. Wish every bus was like the WBSTC ones so that I could sit with my friends. *sighs* But then, that isn't a very good option (we all know why). And right now after finding a guy on my followers' list in Blogger I suddenly realized how much I'll miss Shoot At Sight. Probably we should start one on Google Groups. Let's see. ^__^ Adios till the next time I write!
